It appears all this present-day talk and activism for the ever growing number of gender and sexual identities is just a form of modern day colonialism. All the new gender and sexual orientation terms do is rename what's already been named and existed since humans first developed language. For example, what used to be called getting in touch with your feminine side is now called being transgender. What used to be sexual fetishes are now labeled as specific sexual orientations. What used to be called androgynous is now called non-binary or neutrois or some other newly invented term. Of course, the gender (or trans) activists will split hairs and employ all kinds of sophistry to try to confuse and convince you otherwise. They want you to deny common sense. But worse, they want you to adopt their new language and way of thinking; and if you don't, they will impose consequences. The insanity of this is that Western lawmakers are going along with this madness and are enacting laws to enforce and impose this language and mindset on everybody under their purview. This is a form of colonialism and cultural destruction - to force people to change their language and way of thinking, which often were informed by their religion.
Religious leaders are actually being coerced or outright forced to change their teachings and behaviour. The secular religion of wokeness - to which gender (or trans) activism belongs - is claiming to be The Absolute Right, Correct, Just, and Superior morality. It is claiming to be The Only morality that society should adhere to, and it is imposing itself on the world through sophistry, pseudoscience, scientific fraud, false claims of victimhood, and outright bullying. Hopefully we can pull back from this insanity and decide on respecting each other regardless of our differences, and agreeing to disagree. Live and let live, and don't take offense at every little thing. Don't create more reasons to aggravate and punish ordinary people. Take lessons from long established religions and promote love, tolerance, and long-suffering; and approach perceived acts of hate and intolerance with understanding and grace. Leave the crusading and inquisitions in the past, as they only caused harm, resentment, and blind obedience.

Still free. Much less than yesterday, yet more than tomorrow.
Don't get too attached to any social issue. Time will pass and so will that issue. Then you'll realize you have so many unresolved problems in your life, as you search for the next central one. Head spinning, you'll find yourself aimless and lost.
Every time I read the news I have to remind myself, it just looks worse than it is. There's more coverage and noise now than ever before, with high tech tools and social media. Now if only the doomsayers, conspiracy theorists, and social and environmental activists would figure it out and chill.
Oh, wait... They know it already, there's just too much money to be made in frightening people and whipping them up into a frenzy. These storms will never cease. There will always be a zealous preacher on the pulpit, a crazed crusader in the crowd, a devout inquisitor about, and countless members of civil society ready to turn into a crazed mob at a moment's notice. As a person of reason and balance, always seeking to question, always seeking the middle ground, and fighting to not give into madness, I will remain a lonely heretic. I can't shake this nagging feeling that the world needs more religion, not less. When science becomes religion, more is lost than when religion ignores science.
Humans will always seek out religion in some form or another. New religions are always fraudulent. Over hundreds or thousands of years, some religions have been refined. New religions and ideologies are superficially different; all they offer over the old is fresh opportunities for abuses and new injustices. As for science, it should never guide or determine morality. Nothing is incorruptible, and we shouldn't tear down old gods only to build new ones - they'll have the same flaws in the end. At present there are 2 big problems in how our society is progressing in the moral realm: 1. faith in science (even though this is an oxymoron) is widespread; and 2. the concept of social justice is prominent and seen as different from religion and cleaner, even though it's moralistic, religious in character, and relies on zealots and bigotry to succeed. We people need to look back on our established religions and approach them pragmatically. I'm atheist and formally educated in science, yet the more I learn and live, the more I see how and where religion fits and why it's necessary. I may be wrong, but my search for truth keeps leading me down this path. It's led me away from God, but closer to the nature of religion. I'm neither left nor right, nor anything in between. I'm not for anything, but I am anti something. I'm anti-bullshit, and bullshit is all over the political spectrum.
In childhood, bullshit was highest in church. As a young adult, bullshit was highest in conservative politics. Now, and for nearly the last decade, bullshit is highest in left-wing politics. It seems that whoever is in power shits the most. That bullshit accumulates to a point where change is desperately needed to clear the air. And then the shit starts piling up again... Women tired of playing dumb and sexy. Men tired of chasing women. Men use brains to impress women and get them to copulate. Women have choice due to higher reproductive burden: don't have to think much, just feel. Is it really better if women add to burden by doing the thinking and feeling, while men do nothing but provide sperm? Humanity benefits in no special way, only keeps perpetuating. Doesn't matter in the end as male or female is irrelevant, only human species matters. Replicate, perpetuate, dominate other species. Take pride in arrogance. There is no noble end. Just stop now while we can; enjoy life, play roles, and stop destroying nature. Find balance or nature will devour us and make us all slaves.
Ovulation is the release of genetic material meant for procreation.
Ejaculation is the release of genetic material meant for procreation. Physiologically, one is painful and the other pleasurable. But due to societal constraints, both involve discomfort and shame. Popular opinion depends on how truth is framed.
The normative, or consensus, view is not necessarily truthful. Who can you trust? Nobody. Trust only your instinct. Here's a thought:
In memory of the Jews, Gypsies, and Homosexuals blocked from restaurants, cinemas, sporting events, and more in Nazi Germany, refuse to disclose your vaccination status. Stand in solidarity with those of us who oppose government overreach and tyranny. The above were claimed to carry disease, among other things. STAND FOR HUMANITY. If you think the comparison to Nazi Germany is too much of a stretch, consider that we are being forced out of society and work. It won't take gas chambers or work camps to kill the feebled among us, overwhelmingly we'll become deaths of despair. Meanwhile you'll smugly go on your merry way, convinced The Science and The Experts justify your cold discrimination. After all, somebody must be responsible for the pandemic. And it certainly isn't the benevolent, faultless government that listens to The Science. It must be those the government has fingered, with the guidance of infallible Experts. To those who would say, "You're just using someone else's plight to boost your own." I say: Wrong. First, the plight of democracy is OUR plight, you included if you care at all about democracy. Second, ideology based discrimination is the same as discrimination based on religion or ethnicity. In the context of public health there is absolutely no rational justification for the broad vaccine mandates we're seeing in this country. Our governments are simply singling out those of us who are resistant to government overreach. There's not a conspiracy, but there certainly is an agenda. We must resist it. |
